Springettsbury Township police have arrested a man they say robbed the Wal-Mart on East Market Street early Saturday morning.

Police arrested Curtis Turane of Columbia, Md., just before 4 a.m., and he has been charged with robbery and theft, according to a police press release.

Employees at the Wal-Mart told police that shortly before 4 a.m., a man handed a cashier a note that said he had a gun and wanted $20 bills, the police said in the release.

The man then took off in a blue van, the Wal-Mart employees told police.

A few minutes later, police saw a blue van on East Market near South Ogontz Street and pulled it over. When the employees identified the man as the robber, police arrested him, according to the release.
