A Mount Wolf area man died early Wednesday morning from injuries he suffered in a Tuesday evening motorcycle crash in Dover Township.

Corey Lee Lauer, 27, of Marlette Drive in East Manchester Township, was pronounced dead at 1:21 a.m. in York Hospital, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Claude Stabley. No autopsy is planned.

Lauer died of multiple injuries and wasn't wearing a helmet, Stabley said.

Lauer was riding his motorcycle westbound in the 2800 block of Oakland Road at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday when he lost control, according to Northern York County Regional Police.

He and the motorcycle went across several yards and driveways before hitting an earthen embankment, police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.
