Investigators with the state attorney general's office have arrested a Hanover-area man for allegedly distributing and possessing child pornography.
Michael Dehoff, 28, of 157 Beck Mill Road in West Manheim Township, is charged with 25 counts of possessing child pornography, 18 counts of distributing child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. The last charge can be filed if someone uses a phone or computer to commit a crime.
Dehoff was arrested Friday after being identified by state investigators as being on a peer-to-peer network that shared files believed to contain child pornography, according to a news release from the attorney general's office.
On that network, investigators found 18 files that depicted children engaged in graphic sexual acts or poses, and determined Dehoff used his home computer to make those files available on the network, the release states.
Investigators searched Dehoff's home and seized two computers that were later found to contain suspected child pornography, the attorney general's office alleges.
