The York Dispatch and the Republican Club of York are hosting a debate Wednesday, May 14, between the two GOP primary challengers for the 28th District state Senate seat.
Squaring off will be candidates Zack Hearn of Windsor Township and state Sen. Scott Wagner, R-Spring Garden Township, who was elected to temporarily fill the seat left vacant by former Sen. Mike Waugh of Shrewsbury Township.
The debate will be held at 7 p.m. at the York Jewish Community Center, 2000 Hollywood Drive in York Township. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Each candidate will have a 5-minute introduction, followed by five questions with rebuttal opportunities and a closing statement. WPMT Fox 43 anchor Bill Toth will moderate.
The event is free and open to the public. The primary will be held May 20.
