A York City man was arrested by federal agents in the city on kidnapping charges on Friday.

U.S. Marshals allege Mark Lee Jr., 28, no address provided, kidnapped a person during a domestic incident in the 200 block of West Cottage Place in York City on March 27, according to a news release.

Authorities believe Lee kidnapped the unidentified person and made him or her drive him from the area to avoid being arrested, the release says.

Lee eventually got out of the vehicle in the area of Kurtz and South Newberry streets and ran away.

Less than a month later, the long arm of the law caught up with Lee when he was arrested without incident in the 900 block of West Poplar Street on Friday, the release says.

Lee faces charges of kidnapping to facilitate a felony, kidnapping and unlawful restraint and was also cited with harassment, according to court records. He is has two previous drug charges of possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy of possession with intent to deliver, records state.

Bail was set at a combined $40,000 for the alleged offenses, records state.

It is not known if Lee has retained an attorney.

Aiding marshals in the arrest were York City Police, state police and the York County Sheriff's Office.
