A new speaker has been scheduled for the Holocaust Remembrance service to be held Sunday at the Jewish Community Center.

Holocaust survivor Golda Szachter Kalib, of Pikesville, Md., will be the speaker at the 7 p.m. service at the JCC, 2000 Hollywood Drive in York Township.

Kalib replaces Baltimore resident Sol Goldstein, a U.S. Army veteran who helped liberate the Buchenwald concentration camp in Czechoslovakia.

Goldstein is unable to attend the event because of illness, according to Deena Gross, a member of the Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance) planning committee.

Kalib is author of "The Last Selection: A Child's Journey Through the Holocaust."
