Jewelry and electronics were stolen from a Manchester Township home last week.

Northern York County Regional police say the resident of a home in the 25000 block of Shagbark Court left the house about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday and upon returning home about 7:20 p.m. found the home had been ransacked.

Someone had broken in by cutting a screen and forcing open a locked window. Jewelry and electronics were stolen from numerous rooms in the home, police said.

An estimated value of the stolen items has not yet been calculated, police said.

Officers were able to recover one of the stolen items.

An iPad was found in a tree near the home, police said.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contract police at (717) 292-3647, or leave a tip at nycrpd.org.
