Northern York County Regional Police is investigating a series of thefts of batteries from camping trailers and motor homes in Paradise and Jackson townships.
Since March, police have received nearly a dozen reports of such thefts of the batteries that cost $100 to $200 but have a scrap value of $10 to $20, police said.
The thief or thieves are cutting battery cables to remove the batteries from campers or motor homes that are parked at storage facilities or at owners' homes, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (717) 292-3647 or leave a tip online at nycrpd.org.
