Sobriety checkpoints will be held in York and Lancaster counties this weekend, according to the Center for Traffic Safety.

The checkpoints will be held between 6 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Sunday.

Sobriety checkpoints are announced in advance. Roving DUI patrols and other enforcement activities may or may not be announced in advance.

Checkpoints and DUI patrols are funded with federal grant money distributed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, according to the center.
