A section of Interstate 83 just outside York City will be down to a single lane in both directions Monday night through Tuesday morning for as a construction crew repairs bridges.

The left lanes in both directions will be closed between Exit 19 in Springettsbury Township and Exit 21 in Manchester Township starting at 9 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from the state Department of Transportation.

The lanes will reopen about 6 a.m. Tuesday, the release says.

During that time crews will patch the decks of bridges over the Codorus Creek, Loucks Mill Road and the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks. They will also replace the expansion joints on the Loucks Mill Road bridge, the release says.

The work was scheduled for Sunday night, but it was postponed by bad weather, PennDOT said.
