The York Revolution on Saturday announced the signing of former Major League pitcher Mark Hendrickson to the 2014 pre-season roster.
The 39-year-old southpaw is a veteran of 328 Major League games, having played with the Blue Jays, Rays, Dodgers, Marlins and Orioles.
Hendrickson will likely come out of the Revolution bullpen, with spot-starting duty a possibility, the team said.
He last played in the majors with Baltimore from 2009 to 2011, before taking 2012 off. Last season he pitched in 40 games as a reliever for Triple-A Norfolk in the minors.
Hendrickson has 58 career wins and 666 strikeouts on his Major League resume.
A native of Washington State, Hendrickson has significant family ties to York County, and makes a home in York in addition to the Pacific Northwest, the team said.
