Marcello's Pizza is moving back to Springettsbury Township.

A new location of the pizza chain will open the first week of April at 17 Cinema Drive, said owner Marcello Mannino.

From 2005 to 2010, Mannino previously owned and operated a Marcello's Pizza on East Market Street before selling the real estate to the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He continued to operate other locations throughout the county and would get calls at those shops from customers asking for another Marcello's Pizza on the east side of town, Mannino said.

"We did a good business there and knew it was time to move back. We were just looking for a great location," he said.

The new location is near a Turkey Hill convenience store and includes a pick-up window. There's also seating inside for about 100 customers, Mannino said.

When Marcello's Pizza opens this spring, it will create 10 jobs and be the sixth location in York County. Other locations are in Mount Wolf, Red Lion, Shrewsbury, West York and York City.

Hours of the Springettsbury Township restaurant will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.
