Only about 2-1/2 weeks remain for open enrollment for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act.

But Yorkers can get some free, in-person help before then: Project Access Lancaster County, in partnership with Resources for Human Development, will sponsor an enrollment drive on Friday, the organization announced.

Information and enrollment help will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Martin Library, 159 E. Market St. in York City.

Trained enrollment counselors will assist patients with their applications and any questions they might have. Spanish language help will be available.

Potential enrollees are asked to bring the Social Security Numbers and dates of birth of everyone in their household, as well as federal income tax forms. They need not file a 2013 tax form before enrollment.

Walk-ins will be accepted, but appointments are preferred. To schedule an appointment, call 717-201-8850.
