Winter came in a little less like a lion and more like a lamb — at least in York County.

The snowfall accumulations of up to a foot failed to materialize, but some precipitation still could make the morning commute tricky.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 a.m., and the National Weather Service said to expect 1 to 3 inches this morning.

Red Lion Area, Southern York and Eastern York school districts are closed, as are Lincoln Charter School, the York County School of Technology and Red Lion Christian Academy. Most schools in York County are operating on a two-hour delay. Those are:

Monday's high will be 22 — about 25 degrees below normal. The nighttime low will drop to minus 8, according to AccuWeather.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny, and temperatures will rebound to the upper 20s. Tuesday night will get down to about 10 degrees.
