Snow removal operations will continue Thursday night in York City, Mayor Kim Bracey announced in a news release.

From 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday, South George Street, between King Street and College Avenue, and East King Street, between George and Duke streets, will be closed, and all cars must be removed from the area.

And starting at 11 p.m., three city blocks will also close down for snow hauling: East Philadelphia Street, between George and Duke streets; West Philadelphia Street, between George and Beaver streets; and North Beaver Street, between Market and Philadelphia streets.

During that time, all snow will be removed from the curbs, parking meters and sidewalks.

Snow hauling will continue nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. in the downtown meter district, with street closings and parking restrictions in place.
