York City parents, the time to think about baseball is upon us.

Now in its 10th year, the York City Little League is registering girls and boys ages 5 to 13 for the spring season.

The registration deadline is Saturday, March 1.

Parents have several upcoming opportunities to register their kids in person — 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the United Way, 800 E. King St.; 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at the United Way; 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 1 at Allen Field on Tremont Street; and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 1 at Odeon Field on Richland Avenue.

Parents can also register their children online.

For a child to be eligible, at least one of his or her parents must live in the city.

The league offers five levels of play, starting with 5- to 6-year-olds in T-ball.

Registration fees range from $50 to $85, depending on the child's age.

More information, including registration forms and volunteer information, is available at the league's website, www.yorkcitylittleleague.org.
