Local residents still thawing out from this week's ice storm might not want to hear about winter weather, but the National Weather Service said snow is heading for York County.

About 1 to 2 inches will accumulate from Saturday morning through Monday, said meteorologist Elyse Colbert.

"It's nothing major, but it will be somewhat prolonged. There will be snow on and off for two days," she said.

It will be nothing compared to this week's ice storm, Colbert said.

Temperatures will drop this weekend to highs in the upper 20s and low 30s, with lows in the mid teens, she said.

"It's definitely going to be cold, especially for anyone who still doesn't have power," Colbert said.

Tuesday will offer a reprieve with sun and a high near 26.

But there's another chance of snow Wednesday, she said.

"It's unclear how much. It's still too early to say," Colbert said.
