There were 558 PPL customers in York County without power as of noon Friday, and PPL said "there's a good chance" all outages would be restored by the end of Saturday.

"The best case is 90 percent of the customers have electricity Friday night," said spokesman Jim Nulton.

Most of the outages are in Lower Windsor Township, where 481 residents were without electricity Friday afternoon.

"It's like a war zone out there," Nulton said of the storm damage. "We're working very hard to restore service and understand life is not very good right now for our customers in Lower Windsor Township."

PPL is also reporting 63 outages in Hellam Township and eight outages in Wrightsville.
