We only heard half of the Austin auditions during Wednesday's American Idol Season 13 premiere.

But one of the standout auditioners was definitely Savion Wright.

The 21-year-old student from Jasper, Texas, said he had waited eight years to try out for the show because he didn't think he was creative enough.

Then he showed off his creativity by performing an orginal song called either "Dark Side of Me" or "Both Sides of Me."

Regardless of the title, the judges were impressed and unanimously voted to send Savion to Hollywood.
