A West Virginia man died Monday morning after being struck by a rollback truck on Route 30 in Adams County, state police said.
It happened about 7:15 a.m. in Franklin Township, Adams County.
Charles Briggs, 63, of Martinsburg, was standing in the westbound lane of Route 30 after his vehicle became stuck in snow in the eastbound lane, according to state police.
While standing in the travel lane, Briggs was struck by a Freightliner rollback truck driven by William Walls, 46, of Gardners, Adams County, according to police.
Briggs was transported to Chambersburg Hospital in Franklin County, where he died of his injuries, police said.
