Two alleged illegal immigrants were charged this week in federal court after they were arrested in York County.
Domingo Cervante-Dominguez, 34, a native and citizen of Mexico, and Elvin Sanchez-Herrera, 33, a native and citizen of El Salvador, entered the United State illegally, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg.
Both men face up to six months in prison and a $5,000 fine if convicted.
The investigations were conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and are being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Brian McDonnell, the release said.
