Giant Food Stores on Monday announced it had removed a product from shelves after a recall by Kraft Foods.

Kraft Foods recalled its Velveeta Cheesy Skillet Singles Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac due to an undeclared allergen--soy--on the ingredient label.

A soy allergy can cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. Symptoms include hives; flushed skin or rash; tingling or itchy sensation in the mouth; face, tongue or lip swelling; vomiting and/or diarrhea; abdominal cramps; coughing or wheezing; dizziness and/or lightheadedness; swelling of the throat and vocal cords; difficulty breathing; loss of consciousness.

The item at risk and included in the recall is the 9-ounce Velveeta Cheesy Skillet Singles Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac, with UPC 2100004329 and sell-by dates of March 2 - Oct. 23.

Giant has received no reports of illness related to the item recalled, but it is advising customers to discard unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to the grocery store for a full refund, according to a news release.
