The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for York County from noon Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday.

The weather service is now calling for 2 to 4 inches of snow in York County.

The heaviest period of snow will be Thursday afternoon into Thursday night, though snow flurries could linger into Friday morning.

The blast of snow will be followed by a blast of even colder weather.

The weather service says temperatures will fall into the teens or single digits Friday morning, with wind chills below zero.
