A man wanted in New York City was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals' fugitive task force in York City on Monday.

Johnny Garriga, 23, no address provided, was arrested without incident in the 200 block of South Queen Street, according to a news release from the marshal's service.

Garriga was wanted for the shooting death of a person that happened in Brooklyn on Thursday, the release says.

Police in New York City contracted the marshal's service on Friday to aid in the search and authorities were able to track him to York City, the release says.

After his arrest, Garriga was turned over to local police for processing, the release says.

Aiding marshals in the investigation were the York County Sheriff's Office, the state police fugitive unit and officers from York City and New York City, the release says.
