If you're in the market for a sewing machine, a wooden kindergarten play kitchen or commercial treadmill, the West Shore School District might have what you're looking for.
Lemoyne Middle School has been closed since the summer, and the district will host a public auction Saturday, Feb. 22, to sell excess materials from the school.
Many items from the closed school were moved for use by other schools in the district.
But there are still many items the district no longer needs, said Ryan Argot, director of federal programs.
The district has a list of more than 50 types of materials for sale, including shelving units, desks and tables.
A complete list of items is available on the district's website.
The school district is also hoping to sell the middle school building in the new year, according to the site. The district is working on a formal request for sealed bids, and the school board could vote to accept a bid at a school board meeting in March.
The auction will be managed by Bricker's Auction, and will begin at 9:30 a.m. The auction will take place at the middle school, 701 Market St. in Lemoyne.
People interested in inspecting the middle school for possible purchase should contact Russ Burnell, director of buildings and grounds, at 717-938-9577.
