An unseasonably warm and somewhat wet weekend has arrived for York County, but the cool air will return by Christmas.

The National Weather Service says Saturday will have a high around 61 and Sunday will reach a practically balmy 67. Temperatures won't drop below 56 degree Saturday night and 51 Sunday night, the NWS says.

There is a chance of rain all weekend -- a thirty percent chance Saturday afternoon and 40 percent Saturday night, the NWS says, but rain shouldn't fall too heavily at any time Saturday. They say chances of rain jump to 80 percent Sunday, when York County might see a thunderstorm.

Temperatures trend downward after that. The NWS predicts a high of 51 degrees Monday, and then it's time to pull out the warmed eggnog as temperatures descend to a more seasonable 34 and 37 degrees for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day respectively.
