Two adults and a child were displaced from their home in the 5200 block of West Canal Road in Paradise Township after a fire broke out Monday evening.

Fire crews from York and Adams counties were sent to the house about 7 p.m. Monday evening, according York County 911.

The fire was fully involved when crews arrived, but no people or pets were injured in the blaze, said Brian Knowlton, assistant chief at Dover Township Volunteer Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, he said, and a damage estimate was not available Tuesday morning.

More than 65 first responders were on the scene, according to the American Red Cross, which provided mobile canteening services to the emergency personnel. The organization also provided food, clothing and shelter for the family of three, and it will continue to work with the family, according to a Red Cross news release.
