The removal of a traffic signal at a much-used York Township intersection has been delayed because of a inclement weather.
The signal at Chambers Road and Mount Rose Avenue will now be removed on Tuesday, according to the state Department of Transportation.
It was to come down on Wednesday, but snow and cold weather delayed the work, PennDOT said.
The signal will be replaced with a stop sign on Chambers Road.
A number of new traffic restrictions will also accompany the impending removal. Motorists won't be allowed to make left turns from Chambers Road and will only be allowed to turn right onto Chambers Road from Mount Rose Avenue.
The removal will bring increased safety on Mount Rose Avenue where the signalized Chambers Road intersection is less than half a mile from another signalized intersection at Cape Horn Road, PennDOT said.
The removal will also allow for Mount Rose Avenue to be widened, which is an ongoing project.
