PHILADELPHIA - Police say a group of suspects abducted, shot and robbed a man who had just left a waterfront casino in Philadelphia.

Authorities say the attack occurred Sunday night after the victim left the SugarHouse gambling hall.

The man told police that a commercial van followed him for several miles as he drove to west Philadelphia.

Police say the suspects then abducted the man from his car, put him in the van, and beat and shot him.

Police allege they stole about $3,800 from the victim before dropping him in northeast Philadelphia. He is hospitalized in critical condition.

The van reportedly had lettering indicating it was from a cleaning service.
