The Milton Hershey School is offering a free meal to students and their families interested in attending the school from York.

The school will host a family event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Hoss' Steak and Sea House, 3604 E. Market St.

The event will be for children and families to learn more about the school, which is a cost-free, private, coeducational home and school for children from families of low income.

After dinner and a brief presentation, attendees will be able to talk with staff members from the school.

To be considered to attend the school, students must come from a family with low income, be from the ages of 4 to 15 years old, be free of serious emotional and behavioral problems that disrupt life at home or in the classroom, and be born in the United States.
