Gov. Tom Corbett is expected to formally announce his 2014 re-election campaign Wednesday at Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, and he'll stop in York Saturday, Nov. 9 as part of a multi-city tour of the state.
While no Republican candidate has announced a primary challenge to Corbett, at least eight Democrats have announced they're seeking the party's nomination to challenge the incumbent.
Democratic candidates include Mount Wolf resident and businessman Tom Wolf, who served as the state's Revenue Secretary under former Gov. Ed Rendell.
Corbett will visit the York County Republican Headquarters for a re-election campaign kickoff event Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.
Doors open at 1:30 p.m. at the headquarters, 2453 Kingston Court, Suite 101, in Springettsbury Township.
Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to bring canned food for donation.
