The resident told Northern York County Regional Police that he left his home in the first block of Sigsbee Avenue about 10:45 p.m. Saturday and returned about 3:40 a.m. Sunday to find the front door had been forced open, police said.
The door, door jamb and wall were damaged in the break-in.
Someone searched through the cabinets and drawers, and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen, police said.
