Don't reach for the comfort food just yet, York County foodies.
Foodstruck -- a first-time event in downtown York featuring food served from the windows of restaurants on wheels -- is on for tonight.
"No matter what, we're having the event," said Meg Feeser, one of the organizers.
Feeser and friends have been active on social media, trying to get the word out that Foodstruck won't succumb to the persistent rain that's been falling on York County since Thursday.
The group of organizers will have canopy tents set up, so that people can eat their burgers and pork buns without the bread getting soggy.
Early birds might even get a poncho.
"We bought out the entire stock at the Dollar Tree," Feeser said.
Two downtown restaurants will also open their doors to Foodstruck folk. The First Capital Dispensing Co., 57 N. Pershing Ave., is hosting a beer sampling party. People are also welcome to chow down at the Holy Hound Taproom, 57 W. Market St.
Foodstruck is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. at the parking lot near First Cap. Admission is free.- Reach Erin James at firstname.lastname@example.org.
