York City Police arrested a man who allegedly pulled a gun in a bar early Sunday morning.
Matthew Randall Lawrence, 30, of 716 York St., also allegedly ran from two officers but was arrested when he was found under a tree. Now he's charged with felons not to possess a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, disorderly conduct and making terroristic threats.
Bail for Lawrence was set at $50,000 during his arraignment.
Two officers were sent to M&M Lounge, 530 Maryland Ave., about 1:20 a.m. for a report of a man with a weapon. Officers found three men, one of whom was later identified as Lawrence, standing outside near the bar, according to Lawrence's charging documents.
When officers told the men to show their hands, Lawrence ran away but was found hiding nearby in the backyard of a home in the 400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, documents state.
A witness told police she saw Lawrence pull a gun from his waistband and hold it by his thigh during an argument inside the bar. Lawrence also said he was going to kill another man, according to the documents.
