After pulling over an East Berlin man, Fairview Township Police granted his repeated requests to be taken to jail, police said.

Police said they were called to the 800 block of Siddonsburg Road just after 10 p.m. Thursday after Noah M. Julius, 20, of Hoffman Road, failed to negotiate a curve and his vehicle went into a field.

At the scene, Julius told officers several times to take him to jail, according to police.

When asked why, Julius allegedly replied, "For driving drunk," police said.

He was arrested for DUI after failing a field sobriety test, police said.
