Interstate 83's on- and off-ramps at the Loganville interchange (Exit 10) will close next week for construction, PennDOT said.
The ramps are scheduled to close Friday, Oct. 4, and reopen about 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, weather permitting. Crews will be constructing the "approaches" for the new roadway to the on- and off-ramps, according to the state Department of Transportation.
During the closure, a detour will be in place that directs drivers onto the Susquehanna Trail and back onto I-83 at Glen Rock (Exit 8) and at Leader Heights (Exit 14).
Drivers should expect delays in the area.
Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone on nearby North Street during paving operations, PennDOT said.
Kinsley Construction Inc. is conducting the $11 million contract to realign Loganville's ramps, lengthen the acceleration and deceleration lanes, widen and realign North Street and replace the bridge over I-83.
