A 20-year-old man is awaiting extradition to York from Carroll County (Md.) Detention Center for the Sept. 12 burglary of a Rutter's Farm Store at 6040 Steltz Road in Codorus Township.

Police departments in Maryland helped Pennsylvania State Police identify Alexander Todd Donhauser as a suspect, according to state police.

Donhauser confessed during an interview with state police, during which was wearing the same Nike shoes shown in a surveillance video of the burglary, police said.

The video showed a shirtless man forcing himself into the store with a sledgehammer and taking more than $790 in cigarettes and smokeless tobacco, police said. Donhauser during the interview provided the location for the stolen property, most of which was recovered, police said.

Donhauser has been charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass, and criminal mischief, police said.
