A Hanover man died after being struck by a car Friday in Harrisburg.

Stanley Dutterer, 73, died at Harrisburg Hospital after being struck at 8 a.m. in the 2300 block of North Cameron Street.

He was struck by a car driven by a 21-year-old woman of Hummelstown, Dauphin County. She was traveling southbound on North Cameron Street, which Dutterer was crossing, according to police. Her identity was not given.

Dutterer was walking west near the main entrance of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center, police said.

He stumbled onto the roadway from the median strip and fell in front of the woman's car, which ran over him. He was not at a crosswalk, police said.

Dutterer's vehicle was parked in a lot on the east side of the North Cameron Street. Police said that Dutterer may have been going to a wrestling tournament at the farm show complex, as he had officiating equipment in his carry bag.
