A man who wasn't involved in a large fight outside a North York bar early Sunday morning for some reason retrieved a handgun from a parked car and fired four or five gunshots in the air during the fracas, police said.

No one was struck, said Northern York County Regional Police, who are asking for the public's help in tracking down the gunman.

Officers were called to the Lux Club at 1327 N. Duke St. just after 1:30 a.m. for a large fight inside the bar, police said.

Security officers were able to get those involved outside, at which point another fight erupted among the crowd of people outside the bar, police said.

That's when a man who police said wasn't involved in the fight went to a parked car, got a gun and fired into the air, police said.

He left the area in a small silver or gray hatchback and was with two other men, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident or the man's identity is asked call police at 292-3647, or leave a tip online at nycrpd.org.
