A 19-year-old man escaped serious injury when he crashed his motorcycle on Route 30 in West Manchester Township Tuesday.

The man, whose name was not released, was traveling westbound when he crashed near the Greenwood Road overpass about 2:45 p.m., West Manchester Township Police said.

First responders found the man unconscious but he suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

The man, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to York Hospital.

Police believe excessive speed was a factor in the crash.

The crash snarled traffic in both directions of Route 30.
