Don't be alarmed if you see police activity in the area of Susquehannock High School on Friday. It is only a drill.
The York County Missing Child Task Force will hold a full-scale exercise in the southern part of the county and the incident command post will be at the school.
The drill will test the task force's response to a child abduction or missing child incident, according to Southern Regional Police.
The drill is expected be run between noon and 5 p.m. outside the school and in the surrounding area, police said.
The York County Mobile Command Unit, the county forensic team and various search teams will be on site. A helicopter also is expected to take part.
The missing child task force is a volunteer team comprised of local law enforcement officers, the FBI, state police, probation officers, the York County Department of Emergency Services other county agencies.
