A Manchester Township couple woke Tuesday morning to find someone had stolen a number of items from their home as they slept.
The burglary happened at a home in the 3000 block of Village Circle West, according to Northern York County Regional Police.
A female homeowner woke up at 3 a.m., and when she got out of bed at 5 a.m., she noticed a large wooden antique chest filled with silverware in the bedroom where the couple was sleeping was missing, police said.
She also noticed that her purse, loose change and a watch were missing from a bedroom dresser, police said. A cordless phone was also stolen.
When the woman went to the living room, she found a sliding patio door was standing open. Loose change was found on the concrete patio near the sliding door, police said.
