UPDATE: York County and the rest of central Pennsylvania has a freeze warning for 3-9 a.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service said Friday morning.

Lows are expected to be in the upper 20s around daybreak Saturday morning, the NWS said.

ORIGINAL STORY: York is in for a nice day and a cold night on Friday.

Friday will be sunny and breezy, with a high of 59 northwest winds of 13-21 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday night will be clear and cold, with a low of 29 expected. York County and the rest of central Pennsylvania are under a freeze watch Friday night and early Saturday, the NWS said. That means temperatures will be low enough to damage young plants, and gardeners and farmers were urged to protect their plants and bring houseplants inside for the night.

Saturday will be cloudy, with rain likely between 5 and 11 p.m., the forecast said. Saturday's high will be 57 and the low 37.

Sunday will be sunny, with a high of 62 and low of 35, the forecast said. Winds will be from the north at 5-10 mph.

Monday will be mostly sunny, with a high of 60 and low of 43, the NWS said.

Tuesday has a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high of 64 and low of 49, the forecast said.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, the forecast said. The high will be 69 and the low 52.
